In the 60 years since its beginning, Marano Gardens LLC has grown into a specialty garden center with a reputation for quality plants and exceptional service. Starting with a small shop and greenhouse in 1960, Joe and Joanne Marano grew both a business and a family. Joanne originally trained as a nurse and transitioned her skills into nurturing plants. Both Joe and Joanne were involved in the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Flower Show, exhibiting and winning the Sweepstakes and Grand Sweepstakes over multiple years. In 1976 the entire Marano family was recognized for their contributions to horticulture by PHS. Today, Joe Jr. and Mary manage the garden center along with their dad. Joe Jr. is a graduate of Delaware Valley University. Mary is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
